About the Role
The Company is seeking an Academic Director for its Workforce Development site. The successful candidate will have both instructional and management responsibilities, including site supervision of nursing program activities, assisting with the implementation of special projects, and ensuring program compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves a wide range of tasks, from planning and developing program aspects to serving as a student advocate and maintaining program policies and procedures. The Academic Director will also be involved in faculty and student handbooks, overseeing the maintenance of necessary supplies and equipment, and preparing data for various reports and evaluations. Candidates for the Academic Director position must hold a valid and active Registered Nursing License and a master's or higher degree with coursework in nursing, education, or administration. A minimum of one year of teaching experience in nursing programs and one year of continuous experience as a registered nurse in direct patient care are required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to diversity. Proficiency in technology and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders are essential. The role also includes clinical and faculty responsibilities, student advising, and participation in program committees.
