Technical Writer / Business Analyst – Req (Full-time, hrs / week)
Contract Duration : months (possible extension)
Location : Remote; DMV candidates preferred but for right candidate we can go for EST / CST
Work Schedule : Standard business hours
Interview Process : Single round with HM (– min); possible nd round if needed; writing sample will influence hiring decision
Role Summary :
This is more of a technical writer role than a traditional BA.
Core focus : taking complex claims processing information and creating clear, consumable documents (job aids, SOPs).
Will work with SMEs, ask questions, extract knowledge, and rewrite content for clarity.
Must be able to compare incoming data to existing documentation (Excel – basic use only; no advanced formulas).
Tools : Word, SharePoint, Excel (basic).
Work involves rewriting existing manuals; assignments already scoped through end of year.
Preferred Experience :
Strong technical writing background.
Prior insurance or healthcare claims processing knowledge highly preferred.
Experience collaborating with SMEs and distilling technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Additional Notes :
This position is picking up work left by a departing contractor.
Candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with limited direct supervision.
