Responsibilities
Perform medical physics surveys of all types of radiographic, fluoroscopic, breast imaging, ultrasound, CT, MRI, stereotactic breast biopsy and PET / SPECT / SPECT-CT imaging systems.
Support of ACR Accreditation surveys.
Perform nuclear medicine surveys including gamma cameras, PET, and Quarterly RAM License Support.
Meets the continuing education requirements for mammography, CT, MRI, ultrasound, PET and nuclear medicine.
Complete all reports on time and accurately, which consists of analyzing data, listing observations, and recommending follow-up actions.
Support Radioactive Materials License and all aspects of Radiation Safety.
Travel Requirement :
Driving is required to various locations in Florida and potentially Texas. Travel from the office is from 1 - 5 hours. There will be some overnight stays (average less than 30%).
Master’s degree or higher in health physics, physics, medical physics, biomedical engineering or any equivalent from an accredited college or university.
Highly preferred board certified qualified medical physicists in Florida and Texas.
Experience in any of the following areas of Imaging Physics practice : Health Physics, Radiation Safety Services, Mammography, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine (including gamma cameras and licensing), PET, Radiological / Fluoroscopy Surveys, and Ultrasound
Ability to learn new technical procedures quickly in unfamiliar environments and to apply previous knowledge to unknown topics to accomplish appropriate results.
Use technical expertise along with excellent verbal and written communications to lead teammates or clients in accomplishment of equipment surveys and navigation of the changing regulatory landscape.
Extensive experience with computer systems and the use of a laptop to perform daily duties, including cloud-based tools for workflow and file storage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients daily.
Must be eligible for registration in the state of Florida.
Highly preferred eligible for registration in the state of Texas.
Eligible to serve as RSO for a medical radioactive materials license desired.
