Job Description Summary
The Office of Student Financial Aid Assistant Director will have a number of primary responsibilities by providing counseling need analysis and packaging for a section of students based on alphabetical distribution. The assistant director advises students about the financial aid application process financial aid eligibility treatment of unusual and extenuating circumstances and financial aid programs. The Assistant Director will also oversee one or more aid programs as assigned by the Executive Director of Financial Aid with oversight over all aspects of the programs administration from student eligibility disbursement award adjustments monthly and final reconciliation budgeting and compliance for these areas and coordination with other aid programs in a student aid package. The Assistant Director also manages the receipt and reconciliation of external scholarships and state grants leads Return of Title IV (R2T4) withdrawal processing for undergraduate students and provides high-level counseling to students and families. The role partners across university departments to ensure effective stewardship of institutional and donor-funded resources and supports key compliance and audit functions for the Office of Student Financial Aid.
