Dorm Front Desk Support
This is a part-time position : 10 hours total on Saturday and Sunday with possible additional hours as required.
Educational Requirements : A High School Diploma is Required.
Dorm front desk support is responsible for up-to-date tracking, of the locations of all OCS dormitory residents, using the Reach software program. As students enter and exit the dorm, our support team updates their status so that all students are accounted for and their corresponding dorm parents are alerted to any absences of information. While monitoring student location, the front desk team supports the dorm team with programming of dorm and international student life.
The role of Front Desk Support includes but is not limited to the following :
- Run dorm student morning checkout. Ensure students are on time to school and properly checked out.
- Stay on top of student coming and going throughout the shift, ensuring accurate record of who is in the building.
- Check students in or out from day or overnight leave.
- Monitor check-in process for guests.
- Maintain a presence on the dorm first floor and awareness of who is in the building.
- Answer incoming calls.
- Support room checks.
- Build and submit student reports regarding room checks and attendance.
- General email and filing.
- When needed, support scheduling appointments for students and / or school visitors.
- Provide overall support to the Residence Life Department.
- Support applicants through the email, phone inquiry and collections of supporting documents.
- Support student activity planning through research, assistance with weekly updates and updating activities in our system.
- Monitor a leave request from REACH and input leave requests for athletes.
- Other duties as assigned
