About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Manufacturing Strategy and Operations to lead the design and development of a centralized organization that will support a global network of employees dedicated to delivering life-saving medicines. This role is pivotal in managing a team that will be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and developing members, as well as setting and holding performance goals. The successful candidate will be tasked with building and maintaining a culture that aligns with the company's values, particularly in the areas of quality and safety. A key focus of the role is the development and implementation of a digital strategy for the manufacturing organization, including the identification of a modern manufacturing management system. The Head of Manufacturing Strategy and Operations will also be involved in defining and delivering on strategic projects, leading collaboration with various teams, and implementing metrics to ensure the operational performance of the manufacturing network. Applicants for the Head of Manufacturing Strategy and Operations position at the company should have a Master's degree or Ph.D. with at least 16 years of relevant professional experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 16 years of experience, preferably in a scientific or business discipline. The role requires a candidate with strong business acumen, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a proven track record of success in a GMP manufacturing environment. Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, particularly in drug development and manufacturing, and a comprehensive understanding of CMC requirements, regulatory frameworks, and global manufacturing trends, are essential. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of influencing and challenging the status quo, and will have a history of effectively managing complex projects and leading cross-functional initiatives.
