Ensuring that any fire hazards or unsafe conditions are reported. Making visual contact with residents on a regular scheduled basis; recording violations of program regulation and completing required reports; notifying the Program Director in a timely manner. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with waking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.). Work is performed in a normal social service housing environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Property Monitor
Schedule / Hours : Sunday through Wednesday, 4 : 00pm to 11 : 30pm
This position is responsible for :
- Monitoring the behavior and activities of clients participating in a Salvation Army housing program; guarding the security and safety of Salvation Army facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with housing rules and policies and to protect the safety of staff and clients.
- Monitoring client's behavior and activities to ensure compliance with program / facility rules guidelines; directing clients in appropriate behavior in order to stay in the program / facility.
- Providing security for the building and grounds being aware of activities happening in building dormitories; maintaining awareness of activities occurring outside of the building / ensuring that vehicles are not in fire lanes; ensuring property and vehicles are not vandalized.
- Conducting random and routine bed checks to ensure compliance with house rules.
- Inspecting baggage for contraband or inappropriate items which jeopardize the security and safety of clients and staff; may operate a metal detector.

Education and Experience : High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required, and six months experience working with the public with experience work in a security or social service environment preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications : First Aid and C.P.R. Certification
