Clear record of scholarship, teaching, and service sufficient to be appointed as an assistant professor or higher at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

Experience with Electronic Medical Records, such as Epic

ACLS and BLS certification

Associate Professor :

At least 8 years of post-graduate GI clinical practice experience

Prior academic appointment to the level of Associate Professor from a previous institution

Clear record of scholarship, teaching, and service sufficient to be appointed as an Associate Professor or higher at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

Experience with Electronic Medical Records, such as Epic

ACLS and BLS certification

Gastroenterology Physician, CU GI Community Practice Group (Highlands Ranch) - 37512 Faculty

As an important member of the GI community practice team, the Gastroenterologist will have clinical responsibilities including outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital consultations, endoscopic procedures, and nights / weekends call coverage.The gastroenterologist will primarily see outpatients at the UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital and Lone Tree Medical Specialty Clinic 5 days per week (3 half-days outpatient clinic, 5 half-days outpatient endoscopy). Additionally, they will provide inpatient GI consultative services and nights / weekends call coverage at Highlands Ranch Hospital up to 8 weeks per year in rotation with other members of the CU GI community practice group.The successful applicant for this position will be someone who communicates appropriately and effectively with patients, staff, consultants, and colleagues, has outstanding customer service skills, and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. : Evaluation and management of GI disorders within the scope of a general gastroenterologist including :

Dysphagia

IBS / functional GI disorders

Eosinophilic Esophagitis

Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Abnormal liver function tests

Pancreatitis

Occult iron deficiency anemia

GI motility disorders Interpretation of GI diagnostics including :

Routine endoscopic procedures within the scope of a general gastroenterologist (polypectomy, treatment of upper / lower GI bleeding, endoscopic dilation)

Capsule endoscopy interpretation

Wireless pH capsule placement (Bravo)
