OVERVIEW & HIGHLIGHTS

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as an Financial Aid Programs Specialist . The Incumbent plans, organizes, coordinates and participates in specialized Financial Aid programs and activities, which include Financial Aid Outreach services and the Guardian Scholars foster youth program; provides specialized information and assistance to students regarding college programs and services; interviews and advises students and determines financial need and program eligibility for work, loans, grants and scholarships. AT-A-GLANCE POSITION INFORMATION :

Type of position : Current Vacancy : Full-Time - Monday - Friday - 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

Salary : Range CL-40

$32.20 - $40.26 Hourly

$5,581 - $6,979 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)

Initial Salary Placement : New employees start at Step A ($32.20 per hour) or B ($34.05 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION :

A bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE :

One year closely related work experience in financial aid eligibility determination and packaging. Expertise in foster youth services, outreach or related program coordination preferred.
