PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Clinician Recruitment Onboarding Coordinator supports the recruitment and onboarding of healthcare providers by assisting with administrative, credentialing, and onboarding processes. This role works closely with recruiters, credentialing specialists, and HR staff to ensure a smooth, professional, and timely experience for all new providers joining the organization.
This fast-paced role requires the individual to be highly organized, responsive, and an exceptional communicator. He or she will thrive in a dynamic environment, exhibit a high level of professionalism, and be passionate about delivering outstanding candidate experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
Recruitment & Administrative Support
- Assist provider recruiters with scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate travel arrangements, and managing communication with candidates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Prepare and distribute offer letters and onboarding materials as directed.
- Ensure timely follow-up and communication throughout the recruitment process.
Onboarding Coordination
Facilitate the provider onboarding process by completing required HR and employment documentation.Coordinate with internal departments (IT, HR, payroll, facilities, etc.) to ensure all onboarding tasks are completed prior to start date.Track and manage onboarding milestones to ensure providers are fully prepared to begin work on schedule.Credentialing Support
Collaborate with the credentialing department to obtain and verify required documentation such as licenses, certifications, and references.Monitor progress of credentialing applications and communicate updates to recruiters and department leadership.Ensure all credentialing files are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.Communication & Professionalism
Serve as a primary point of contact for new providers during the onboarding process.Provide timely and professional responses to inquiries from candidates, internal teams, and external partners.Uphold a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and customer service in all interactions.Qualifications
Education : Associate's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant professional experience may substitute for formal education requirements.
Experience : At least 1 year of experience in healthcare recruitment, HR, or credentialing preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of professional standards and accountability practices to ensure ethical and reliable performance.Knowledge of customer service principles and their application in a healthcare or HR environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HR / recruitment software systems, including applicant tracking systems (ATS).Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with candidates, internal teams, and external partners.Organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance tasks.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings and contribute to a positive work environment.Adaptability and initiative to respond to changing needs and take proactive steps in problem-solving.Strong interpersonal and analytical skills to resolve issues and support recruitment and onboarding processes.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
