JOB DESCRIPTION
Position is 100% onsite
Hours are 7am-4pm M-F
The Quality Engineer (QE) will support Engineering Validation Testing (EVT) for spacecraft involving
Thermal Vacuum, Dynamic, Propulsion, and EMI testing. This role includes off-shift, weekend, and
potential overtime work to accommodate 24 / 7 test operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Ensure adherence to applicable procedures and Customer contract requirements during
the EVT campaign.
Support pre-test meetings by verifying test setup configuration, test equipment calibration
is current, and flight software versions are current.
Support post-test meetings by verifying all signoffs are complete, all requirements have
been met, and all test flags or nonconformances dispositioned appropriately.
Document and facilitate timely disposition of nonconformances (Company) and test flags
through TIPQA / JIRA systems.
Support operational tasks including solar array integration and testing, installations, bus
movements, and other activities.
Participate in daily planning and update meetings with Customer for communication of
quality issues and resource needs.
Collaborate with Test Engineering, Systems Engineering, and QE team to resolve issues
and ensure smooth test execution.
Facilitate cross-functional Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) as needed.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and three years' experience in Quality Engineering,
preferably in Aerospace.
Experience with industry quality standards (AS9100 / ISO9001 preferred), Quality
Management System (QMS) Procedures, and Customer contract requirements.
Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word,
Project, etc.).
