Internal Communications Manager

Job Summary

As Internal Communications Manager, you will lead the Internal Communications team for the U.S., supporting strategic internal communication efforts across U.S. operations, and serving as Internal Communications lead for the U.S. to the global communications internal network. This position will lead the Internal Communications team in developing, managing and deploying internal communications strategies and initiatives throughout all US operations. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Communications, the role works closely with key stakeholders to develop and execute communication strategies that engage, inform and inspire employees. The Internal Communication Manager is both a team player and self-starter with creative, innovative ideas and the ability to execute plans effectively.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of global internal communication strategies aligned with the company’s organizational goals and business priorities.
• Serve as the content manager for multiple channels, including our internal Intranet, email newsletters, digital office signage and functional and company-wide town halls.
• Develop, manage and distribute content, such as employee communications articles, newsletters, executive remarks, video scripts, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Manage company-wide events, such as Regional Town Halls, working cross-functionally to oversee logistics and ensure seamless execution.
• Support the planning and execution of change communication strategies, including organizational changes, and other key business announcements.
• Serve as a communications partner to functional leaders on communication best practices and ensure communications efforts are aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure internal communication messaging and tone are consistent across all channels and with external communication messages.
• Strategize with leaders from business units, regional leadership, Safety Council, HR and other groups on how to reach employees effectively, including employees that are based in non-corporate settings such as our trucking fleet or in a manufacturing environment. Develop and implement communications plans to reach specific audiences.
• Use data and analytics to measure internal communication efforts and suggest recommendations to refine messaging and approach accordingly.
• Oversee the Cemex media line at major office locations.
