Job Summary : Coordinates all technology and network functions on the campus and travel to regional campuses as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists with maintaining the campus administrative network and assisting administrative staff.
Administers and maintains the campus academic network, laptops, and student lab computers.
Providing and maintaining classroom access to a centralized network, the Internet.
Assist faculty and student network users.
Assists with purchasing of administrative and academic networking and computer system equipment as needed for on-going productivity and operations.
Maintains software licensing documentation and compliance for administrative and academic staff.
Maintains an up-to-date inventory of administrative and classroom network systems.
Responsible for the campus laptop inventory tracking, loss and recovery.
Performs any other duties or special projects as assigned by the Campus Technology and Operations Manager.

Education / Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent GED. Technical Associate degree or equivalent in Networking or Electronics preferred.
Four (4) years of computer networking or network administration experience. In addition, prior positions involving management and organizational skills preferred.
Language Ability :
Be able to communicate effectively with staff, faculty and students. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical information, technical procedures, and general business practices. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Reasoning Ability :
Be capable of troubleshooting any problem that occurs either on the academic network or on the client desktops and laptops. This includes the ability to search for information from various web sites and resources to aid in problem determination.
Computer Skills :
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a good, working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office, Computer Networking and good technical problem solving.
Certificates and Licenses :
A certification from CompTIA (examples of which are CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +) or Microsoft Certification is favored but not essential.
