In the role of Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager in maintaining all equipment and facilities associated with the Academy Mapleton Hill Community (AMH).

Responsibilities
Performs routine and scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilitiesWorks with a team of maintenance staff to complete projects and tasksIdentifies and troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairsFollows established preventative maintenance proceduresKeeps accurate maintenance records and documentationCommunicates with supervisor and other staff regarding equipment status and malfunctionsAssists with the installation and set-up of new equipmentEnsures compliance with safety regulations and industry standardsAttends training sessions to stay current on new equipment and maintenance techniquesMonitors and controls inventory of tools, parts, and suppliesMaintains a clean and organized work areaMaintains tools and equipment in proper working conditionPerforms routine inspections of equipment and identifies potential issuesCollaborates with other departments to ensure smooth operation of facilityKeeps up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to improve maintenance processesQualifications
Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standardsStrong technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologiesAbility to read and interpret technical documents and blueprintsKnowledge of manufacturing process and machineryPossess a valid driving licenseAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong knowledge of safety procedures and use of personal protective equipmentAbility to work flexible hours, and occasional holidays, as requiredAbility to work on call and be available for emergency repairsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsFluency in both English and Spanish, a plusHonesty, integrity, sense of humor, and pleasant demeanor – ability to stay calm under pressureEmpathy toward the elderly and to geriatric issues and challengesEducation and Experience
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar roleStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systemsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a related field, a plusExperience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), a plusRequirements :
