Speech-Language Pathologist

The Lansing School District, serving over 10,000 PreK-12 students across 25 school buildings in Lansing, MI, offers a wide variety of educational options. Dedicated to providing an excellent education in a safe and nurturing environment, we are hiring a Speech & Language Pathologist. The Speech & Language Pathologist is responsible for identifying needs in speech and / or language in our students, and delivering intervention to support those needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree with major in Speech & Language Pathology (or related field)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence or be in your Clinical Fellowship Year
  • Speech-Language Pathologist Certification
  • Commitment to Lansing School District's mission and vision

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with children, their families, and their school support systems
  • Experience working with a diverse population of students in an urban school setting
  • Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct & attend IEP meetings; write IEPs as needed; and monitor their effectiveness
  • Conduct REEDs to evaluate students
  • Submit all required reports, data, and documentation in a timely manner
  • Schedule and deliver speech and / or language instruction to a caseload of students
  • Coordinate and provide consultative services to general education teachers, parents, and other special education staff in the areas of speech and language
  • Other tasks as needed in order to best serve Lansing students
  • 50,298 - $95,000 a year
