Description

The Material Coordinator is responsible for the transfer of raw materials parts and finished products between the source and final destination. Monitors material requirements and tracks movement with purchasing production and warehouses. Ensures material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules or inventory requirements. Conducts physical counts of inventory and inputs data into a system or database to produce reporting and demand estimates. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor.

This position will require related experience. Works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Typically requires 1-3 years of experience.

Essential functions

  • Support the warehouse and production teams in ensuring that all inventory is accounted for and recorded accurately.
  • Oversee and assist in weekly monthly bi-monthly and annual cycle counting of both inventory and non-inventory items.
  • Assist sales ops production and planning teams in controlling movement of inventory between production orders and stock.
  • Assist with SKU creation & item master management when necessary
  • Requires natural problem-solving ability and can identify inefficiencies and use a limited budget to resolve those issues.
  • Experience with cycle count reports and manufacturing processes
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills with both phone and email
  • Commitment to driving the highest Quality within our daily activities and in our output to our customers.
  • Be a steward of safety practicing good safety in all your daily activities and lead others to observe and follow our safety standards / requirements.
  • Complies with all guidelines and procedures pertaining to the protection of the Companys Information Assets Security and Systems and that of its Clients.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • At a minimum 3 years of experience working in inventory / stockroom
  • Knowledge of working with ERP systems
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet management
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a high paced team driven environment
  • Ability to work independently and be a problem solver.
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to implement corporate policies when selecting methods techniques and processes to implement our production processes
  • Ability to work as business needs require which may include extended days and weekends and occasional travel for project activities.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Regularly required to stand walk and use hands to manipulate objects tools or controls reach with hands and arms while taking and hearing
  • Frequently lift and / or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds with assistance of others
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
