Java Backend Developer

Location : Phoenix, AZ (Onsite | Contract Role)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java 8, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture . The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend systems, building REST APIs, and ensuring seamless integration across applications in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java 8, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support application features and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, QA, and business analysts.
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services.
  • Participate in Agile / Scrum development processes , including sprint planning and code reviews.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for backend services.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of professional experience in backend development.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Java 8 .
  • Proven experience with Spring Boot framework.
  • Solid knowledge of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and web services.
  • Strong database knowledge (SQL / NoSQL preferred).
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP is a plus).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
