Job Summary
Acts as the first point of contact for customers at the facility. Responsible for directing traffic, weighing loads, collecting payments, maintaining records, and ensuring safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and direct customers and incoming traffic
Accurately calculate and collect payments for waste loads
Inspect loads to ensure no prohibited or unsafe materials are present
Enforce safety procedures and ensure PPE compliance
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Scale House
Perform administrative tasks including filing and reporting
Provide friendly, service-oriented communication with customers, vendors, and team members
Handle basic customer service issues and data entry
Attend scheduled training sessions and meetings
Report issues or concerns promptly to supervisors
Work overtime as needed
Qualifications
Required : High school diploma or GED
Experience : 0–4 years of relevant experience (customer service, cash handling, administrative work)
Licenses / Certifications : None required
Work Environment
Indoor / outdoor setting (Scale House and facility yard)
Occasional exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather conditions
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally and use basic motor coordination (e.g., typing, operating equipment)
