Key Areas of Responsibility :

• Responsible for requirements, design, implementation, test, and integration of design in accordance with the higher-level requirement and design specifications / architectures.
• Project coordination with customer engineering and supplier engineers during the design review and detailed design phases.
• Rework coordination with the supplier on the existing design changes to meet the new design requirement.
• Tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T.
• Drawing release (drawings, OMS) for proto order.
• Proto build - form, fit, and function.
• Test plan preparation.
• Document & BOM release in EDOC / Enovia.
• Able to work independently to design mechanical design and power distribution systems for semiconductor metrology instruments.
• Able to work independently to integrate and test subsystems.
• Able to work independently to design tools / fixtures for manufacturing and field services.
• Defines, executes, and takes the lead in concept and feasibility studies with a limited scope to investigate the usability of new technologies.
• Ensures the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate modules in modular, easy-to-maintain units that meet the product specification.
• Determines the unit interfaces (HW / SW) in close consultation with relevant disciplines.
• Ensure that there is proper documentation for his / her design.
• Contributes to the work breakdown structure / the planning process of his / her area.
• Draws up a personal schedule and reports on progress.
• Performs work in line with the processes agreed upon in the department.
