The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for a BIM Engineering Technician position supporting Electrical Substation Design . The BIM Engineering Technician supports an assigned group of engineers by providing technical 2D and 3D drafting support and creating construction and removal drawings / designs utilizing Autodesk Revit . This role will be a strategic contributor to the growth of our Renewables Lifeline Sector® . Qualified candidates will be considered to work remotely from any location in the US , or if the candidate chooses, may work from any of Ulteig’s existing office locations.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain 3D BIM models of electrical substation projects throughout all project phases.
• Ensure that 3D models and drawings are accurate and reflect design specifications, company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.

Produce construction documents, including : Site plans

Electrical layouts

Sections and elevations

Electrical one-lines and schematics

Panel layouts

Wiring and communication diagrams

Construction details

Detailed component drawings

What We Expect From You

Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM modeling, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sectors. : Strong skills with BIM software such as Autodesk Revit , AutoCAD , and / or Civil 3D .

Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Preferred Knowledge : Substation electrical protection and control and / or physical design (strong plus).

Dynamo and / or pyRevit (beneficial).

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Ability to adapt to changes in project scope and deadlines.

Good organization and communication skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Other Requirements : If working remotely, must have reliable high-speed internet capabilities.

Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.

Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Additional Opportunity Details :

Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $30.05- $40.67 per hour

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to be posted for an average of 60 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position has been cancelled.
