Strategic Events Leader

AWS seeks a strategic events leader to revolutionize our internal event experiences across virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats. This role will shape how AWS connects, enables, and inspires our global teams through innovative event programming. You'll lead the transformation of our internal events strategy, leveraging data-driven insights and emerging technologies to create immersive experiences that drive engagement and business impact. This includes reimagining our sales kick-off programs, leadership summits, training initiatives, and global team experiences.

Key job responsibilities include :

• Build and lead a high-performing team of event strategists, developing the next generation of experience-focused talent.
• Design and execute a comprehensive internal events strategy that aligns with AWS's rapid growth and digital transformation goals.
• Pioneer innovative hybrid event models that maximize engagement across global audiences.
• Optimize event technology stack and data analytics to measure and enhance program effectiveness.
• Partner with senior leadership to translate business objectives into memorable event experiences.
• Drive operational excellence through standardized processes, vendor management, and quality assurance.

About the team : AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,800 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,200 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
