Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Oversee all financial operations, including but not limited to, budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and internal control systems.

2. Manage the tuition accounting process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payments, and financial aid disbursements.

3. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, providing clear and concise financial information to stakeholders.

4. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

5. Develop and implement financial strategies, identifying areas for potential improvement and cost reduction.

6. Collaborate with other department heads to strategize ways to minimize financial risk.

7. Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls, ensuring all audits are completed on time and within budget.

8. Provide leadership, direction, and management to the finance and accounting team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA is highly desirable.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting role, preferably within the education sector.

3. Proven experience in tuition accounting, with a deep understanding of educational financial operations.

4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting, and budgeting.

5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

6. Proficient in using financial software and MS Office Suite.

7. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information.

8. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.

9. High integrity and openness combined with a commitment to good governance.

10. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively, meeting deadlines under pressure.
