QuarterLine is currently seeking part-time / PRN Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to join our team at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, KY near Clarksville, TN. As an independent contractor of QuarterLine, you will have the opportunity to treat active-duty enrolled family members.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities :
The Contract Neonatal Nurse Practitioner shall perform the following procedures, as required, and in strict compliance with standing orders and protocols set forth by the MTF to include, but will not necessarily be limited to the following :
- The contract Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will perform the full range of medical services within the scope of Neonatal services to all patients and eligible beneficiaries regardless of underlying disease process or physical condition of such patients or beneficiaries.
- Contract providers shall be subject to the same quality improvement assurance standards as those required for comparable military or government civilian providers. The DCCS or his / her designee will establish standard minimum provider RVU workload targets. Each contract NNP shall meet or exceed the minimum workload and productivity standards as established by the MTF. In the event the workload is insufficient during a shift to achieve the established workload targets, the shift will be excluded from performance assessment as an outlier. Contract providers shall be responsible for compliance with all procedures in accordance with applicable Medical Command (MEDCOM) and BACH written policies, procedures and regulations and Army regulations. Contract providers shall not introduce new procedures or services without prior recommendation to, and approval of the BACH Commander, their authorized representative, and the contracting officer. All JC standards shall be met during the performance of services under this contract.
- Provides independent primary comprehensive and therapeutic health care services, to include examining, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in the Mother Baby Unit (MBU) and the Special Care Nursery (SCN). Attends all deliveries in Labor and Delivery. Performs a systematic physical examination and interprets abnormal and normal findings. Initiates emergency care as appropriate. Orders and interprets related laboratory and diagnostic tests. Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings in order to make a nursing diagnosis regarding physical, emotional, or social disabilities. Reports abnormal findings to the Chief of the Department. Develops a problem list if indicated, implementing a therapeutic plan for each problem. Prescribes medications approved by the Therapeutics Agent Board.
- Performs a complete physical examination and provides special care to Mother Baby Unit and Special care Nursery.
Minimum Qualifications :
Degree : Master's degree in nursing.Education : Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).Certification : Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties). Possess PALS, NRP, and BLS.Experience : As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions.Licensure : Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.Citizenship : U.S. citizenship.Credentialing : Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
