About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director for its Jamestown Rediscovery Foundation. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the operations of the foundation, which includes supervising daily activities, overseeing capital improvements, and managing a large team of full-time and part-time staff. This role is pivotal, as the Executive Director will also serve as the primary liaison for the foundation's Board, which plays a key role in fundraising to support the foundation's work. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and strategic leader, capable of engaging with national stakeholders, and will be responsible for the development of annual operating budget projections and operational work plans. As the Executive Director, the individual will be at the forefront of the foundation's mission, which is of national significance in the preservation and education of the historic site. The role demands a leader with a deep knowledge of history, strong administrative and fundraising skills, and a proven ability to cultivate transformative gifts.
