Stantec is seeking an individual to coordinate the implementation of Stantec's Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) program within the Environmental Services Business Operating Unit in the US. The position will be based out of one of our larger offices in the US and will report to a Business Line HSSE Manager. This is a full-time position, and work hours will reflect the requirements of the geography.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Applies practical knowledge and experience to independently solve complex HSSE problems related to areas within their operational control.
• Act as a subject matter expert in at least one of Stantec's critical risks (e.g., ground disturbance, mobile and heavy equipment, work at heights) or HSSE related technical discipline (e.g., remedial construction, geotechnical, restoration, cultural).
• Work with the HSSE Manager to track and manage incidents, identify effective preventative and corrective actions, and develop and share lessons learned.
• Identify and lead process improvements in alignment with strategic goals.
• Provide coaching, advice, and direction to business line leadership on HSSE as it pertains to the services provided by the business.
• Support operations to effectively use Stantec's HSSE systems including the HSSE program manual, OHS management system, and safe work practices, as well as local legislation.
• Support project teams during internal and third party audits.
• Provide technical assistance to project teams with pre-job planning and hazard assessments for field activities and the integration of client HSSE requirements.
• Conduct field assessments, planned job observations, and worksite inspections independently and with leadership (which may require overnight travel) in support of the Business Operating Unit.
• Promote HSSE within the area of responsibility with the goal of continuous improvement of HSSE culture.
• Help identify medical surveillance requirements based on anticipated project exposures.

Pay Range

Locations in MN, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas - Min Salary $ 83,200.00 - Max Salary $ 120,600.00

Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas - Min Salary $ 91,500.00 - Max Salary $ 132,700.00

Locations in WA, DC & Various CA areas - Min Salary $ 98,200.00 - Max Salary $ 142,300.00

Pay Transparency : In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
