La Dora provides short-term and long-term nursing and rehabilitation services to the senior population in the Bedford community. We have an in-house therapy team with smaller daily case loads , with an emphasis on optimizing time with patients.

Occupational Therapist's Job Responsibilities :

Help residents by providing rehabilitative and skilled therapy maintenance services to persons with mental, physical, psychosocial, or developmental impairments.

Maintain the expected productivity / efficiency set by the Director of Rehab or Administrator.

Maintain accurate and timely patients' occupational therapy records by recording residents’ progress and daily notes under federal, state, and insurance guidelines.

Record accurate billing information of occupational therapy services rendered.

Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following facility guidelines and procedures.

Help keep therapy equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs as needed.

Serve and protect occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies, and procedures as well as federal, state, and local requirements.

Enhance occupational therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements :

Current Texas licensure as an OTR is required
