Physician Assistant physician employment in New York : A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a new,licensed Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), and / or Physician Assistant (PA)to join their growing team as a Stroke Coordinator. In this role, theStroke Coordinator (PA / NP / RN) will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of stroke care, from initial assessment to post-discharge follow-up.

  • Responsibilities :
  • TheStroke Coordinator (PA / NP / RN) will :
  • Develop and implement comprehensive stroke care protocols and guidelines
  • Conduct regular training sessions and educational programs for healthcare professionals on stroke management, prevention, and best practices
  • Work closely with Emergency Department personnel to streamline stroke patient assessment and facilitate smooth transitions to the Stroke Care Unit
  • Monitor and track stroke patient outcomes, performance metrics, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Serve as a resource and support for stroke patients and their families, providing education and guidance throughout their care journey
  • Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to promote stroke awareness and prevention programs
  • Perform other duties, as needed
  • Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a Healthcare-related field
  • NYS licensed Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), and / or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Strong understanding of Stroke Assessment tools, Treatment options, and evidence-based practices
  • Proven ability to organize and lead Educational Programs and Quality Improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements related to Stroke Care (e.g., The Joint Commission, NYCDOS)
  • Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Desired Skills :
  • Master's Degree in Nursing and / or a Healthcare-related field
  • Quality Assurance experience,such as work with DOH or TJC Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w / o US residency with current US work visa.
