We’re seeking an experienced part time Oc cupational Therapist to join our school-based services team in the Plantation, FL area.

Professional License Requirements :

Applicants are required to have the following, legally mandated certifications. Applicants without these requirements will not be considered.

  • Have active state-level licensure as an Occupational Therapist or ability to obtain one
  • Hold a master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university

What to expect from this role :

Experience working in schools or with children is a plus but not required.

  • Evaluate disorders and delays that affect students’ ability to perform daily activities and reach their educational goals
  • Develop / improve individual’s ability to independently perform tasks
  • Serve as member of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team for students with occupational therapy concerns
  • Facilitate goals and objectives per child’s educational plan
  • Maintain appropriate records
  • Work in coordination with school personnel and parents to develop appropriate programs for eligible students
  • Effectively communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents
  • Perform other OT duties / responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of licensure and / or certification
  • Ensure all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulations
