Veterinary Assistant

VCA All Pets Animal Hospital Salinas is searching for a Veterinary Assistant passionate about patient care and dedicated to providing excellent client service.

Location : 1257 E Alisal St, Salinas, CA 93905

Compensation : $ 18 - $ 26 / hr

Schedule : FT Days including Saturdays

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include :

• Maintaining medical records, obtaining patient vital signs, and scribing patient histories.
• Performing outpatient wellness services such as vaccines, deworming treatments, parasite preventions, and light grooming; Preparing the surgical suite and surgical patients.
• Filling prescriptions and recommending appropriate hospital programs for wellness plans and prescription delivery services.
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded, grooming, and hospitalized pets.
