In our 1 : 1 ABA setting, you'll work directly with children (ages 18 months to 8 years) using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a supportive center-based environment. With exceptional supervision, ongoing training, and a passionate team by your side, you will make a tangible impact every day!
What You'll Do as a Behavior Therapist :
- Apply the principles of one-on-one ABA therapy to help children with Autism reach their full potential. This includes reading treatment plans, implementing therapy, collecting data, writing insurance notes, and incorporating feedback during observation sessions.
- Support the development of children in early childhood through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities.
- Collaborate with a team to optimize treatment, safety, and create a fun working environment.
- Engage with children through play, movement, and imitation. This could include active play like running and dancing or quieter activities such as reading and playing with toys.
- Communicate effectively and positively with team members, families, and supervisors to coordinate activities, celebrate successes, and address personal needs.
Job Requirements :
Ability to lift and move children in a fast-paced environment, which may involve lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, squatting, and moving quickly to stay engaged with young children.Maintain a therapy-friendly environment by ensuring play areas are tidy, organized, and conducive to a stimulating experience for the children.Multitask to manage various actions, decisions, or conversations in real-time while prioritizing safety for all.Support teamwork by collaborating as part of the center, neighborhood, and region. This may include traveling to nearby centers for support when assigned.Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment by passing a 40-hour training curriculum, competency assessment, registering for the exam, and passing the board exam.
