Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing team in Northbrook, IL. This is a leadership role that requires a strong background in tax preparation, review, and compliance, as well as the ability to mentor and manage junior staff. The ideal candidate will have a CPA license, in-depth knowledge of tax laws, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Tax Preparation & Review : Prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns for businesses, partnerships, individuals, trusts, and non-profits.
• Tax Planning : Develop and review annual tax provisions and planning calculations for estimates and extensions.
• Research & Compliance : Research complex tax matters, monitor legislative changes, and propose resolutions to tax-related challenges.
• Client Interaction : Build and sustain strong client relationships, respond to inquiries, and handle communications with tax authorities.
• Team Management : Supervise, mentor, and train interns, part-time staff, and junior associates.
• Additional Duties : Perform other accounting and tax-related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Must-Have

Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
