Job Type : Full Time Location : Fullerton, California Pay : Great Pay + Comprehensive Benefits Job Description What you will be doing :
Lead or contribute to new product development (NPD) for plant-based foods, sauces, or fresh ready meals—from concept through commercialization.Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) for assigned products.Manage or support co-packer relationships and product excellence for outsourced production items.Drive or contribute to process improvement efforts that enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve productivity.Conduct root-cause analysis of product issues using principles from food science, microbiology, and chemistry; propose preventative actions.Collaborate with vendors, process engineers, R&D chefs, and marketers to align innovation with food safety, cost, and customer expectations.Research and evaluate new ingredients, packaging materials, suppliers, and co-packers.Identify, evaluate, and conduct scale-up testing with prospective co-packers as needed.Use project management tools to report on development timelines and milestones.Stay informed of market trends and competitor innovations; recommend ideas aligned with business strategy.Partner cross-functionally with QA, Operations, Marketing, and Culinary teams to ensure smooth product launches.Support special projects or other R&D initiatives as assigned.Experience you will need :
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.4–5+ years (mid-level) or 7+ years (senior-level) of relevant experience in food manufacturing or R&D.Proven experience with food product development and commercialization.Familiarity with food safety standards, QMS, and process design.Vendor / supplier collaboration experience, particularly in sourcing ingredients and co-manufacturing.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with MS Project or similar tools.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Bilingual in Korean is a plus.Experience with packaging applications and plant-based foods is highly desirable.Our client asked me to submit 3 great people within the next few days.
