Information Security Engineer II

The Role

Lumen is seeking a skilled and dedicated Information Security Engineer II to join our Physical Security team as an Access Control Specialist. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our access control systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, particularly with specialized endpoints and security applications.

The work location for this position is 5325 ZUNI ST, Denver, CO

The Main Responsibilities

• Provide frontline support, programming, and maintenance of access control systems and applications.
• Manage, configure, and debug specialized endpoints such as card readers, biometric equipment, and wireless devices.
• Automate patch application, hotfixes, and custom functionality using scripts and packaging tools.
• Coordinate with project managers, physical security team members, system administrators, and database engineers on the rollout of new systems and remediation of existing systems.
• Manage the system health of access control platforms.
• Assist with system upgrades and system projects.
• Maintain and remediate issues within the biometric access control platforms.
• Conduct quality control “Test and turn-up” checks of access control hardware installations.
• Troubleshoot service, systems hardware, and network issues.
• Perform hardware firmware updates for access control platforms.
• Provide cross-trained security application support

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors

Location Based Pay Ranges :

$69,694 - $92,925 in these states : CO
