OR Resource RN

Job Title : OR Resource RN (Glastonbury, CT)

Overview : The OR Resource Nurse will assist and coordinate the daily activities of the OR staff to provide quality care and services to the patients. The Resource Nurse is accountable and responsible for the services provided in the operating rooms and sterile processing department. The OR Resource Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing and may act as the Director of Nursing in their absence.

Responsibilities / Job Duties :

• Manage the operating rooms and sterile processing departments
• Assisting with orientation of new OR employees
• Assess staff's educational needs and utilizes AORN standards to implement a plan to meet those needs
• Creates staff schedules for OR and sterile processing
• Works closely with surgeons and clinical educator to ensure staff are adhering to centers policies & procedures

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :

Schedule / Shift : Monday - Friday 6 : 30am-3pm OR 7am-3 : 30pm (NO Weekends, Holidays or On-Call)
