Job Details

Coordinates and oversees Master of Public Health (MPH) student clerkships (Applied Practice Experience) and other on-site and off-site experiential learning activities. Collaborates with community partners to facilitate impactful placements and ensures alignment with program goals. Provides comprehensive support to the MPH Program Director and Assistant Program Director, and works closely with Jefferson College of Population Health (JCPH) faculty and staff to enhance the student experience and promote meaningful community engagement.

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Support MPH program activities including Accreditation Activities, student events, presentations. Organize and maintain confidential student records. Support and monitor programmatic quality improvement activities.
  • Coordinate student fieldwork activities, known as the Applied Practice Experience (C-APE), liaison with C-APE community supervisors, identify additional clerkship sites, monitor student progress and deliverables, address concerns, and modify placements as needed.
  • Organize faculty meetings and events (including sending invitations, booking rooms, addressing remote access needs, preparing documents, manage meeting minutes and ordering food or other supplies), including but not limited to, the Teaching Team Meeting, the Community Advisory Board Meeting, and Concentration Lead Meetings. Post signs directing people to meetings as needed. Manage invitations in Outlook or other programs.
  • Organize and run student meetings and events, (including sending invitations, booking rooms, addressing remote access needs, preparing documents, and ordering food or other supplies), including, but not limited to, Student Town Hall meetings, Journal Club, Clinical & Public Health Student meetings, career panels and professional development seminars as well as information sessions, orientation, Capstone-ILE seminars, other student or class presentations. Post signs directing people to the meetings and events as needed. Manage invitations in Outlook or other programs (these meetings include, but are not limited to students).
  • Answer calls, emails and communicate information to students, faculty and other team members.

  • Minimum high school diploma. Bachelor's Degree preferred
