Educational Child Care Center (EC3) is a non-profit, parent cooperative dedicated to providing high-quality, play-based early childhood education. We believe that raising children is a community effort, and our teachers play a vital role in creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where children and families thrive.
We are seeking a Lead Infant Teacher who is caring, patient, motivated, and passionate about working with our littlest learners. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day—supporting children’s growth, partnering with families, and strengthening our community.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for infants.
Provide responsive caregiving and ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
Supervise and support classroom assistants and volunteers in a collaborative, team-based approach.
Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and scheduled conferences.
Maintain compliance with Michigan childcare licensing rules and NAEYC accreditation standards.
Contribute to EC3’s cooperative culture through staff collaboration and ongoing professional learning.
Qualifications
At least 19 years old.
CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (Associate’s or higher preferred).
Ability to pass background checks.
Physically able to meet the demands of caring for infants (lifting up to 50 lbs, sitting / standing / moving quickly, engaging in play).
Warm, supportive, and adaptable; committed to lifelong learning.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay : $17–$19 / hour
