Job Description :

  • The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for performing daily inventory counts, audits, and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • The role supports warehouse logistics through clerical tasks, audits, and product handling while adhering to safety and food safety standards.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform daily inventory counts and audits with detailed documentation.
  • Research transactions and exceptions to determine root causes and provide resolutions.
  • Request, prepare, compile, and retain reports and records in printed and electronic formats.
  • Identify products in the inventory database and code dates on products.
  • Perform full range of Inventory Reclass / Transfer functions.
  • Evaluate, verify, and process driver-returned products.
  • Reconcile routes, invoices, and other documents.
  • Process debit and credit adjustments using accurate reason codes.
  • Support warehouse logistics through clerical tasks and audits.
  • Move and stage pallet loads using material handling equipment.
  • Adhere to company standards for safety, product handling, and food safety.
  • Maintain accurate timecard records for time and attendance reporting.
  • Comply with the division attendance policy.
  • Work in various environments including office, ambient, refrigerated, and frozen storage areas.

    • Requirement / Must Have :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Inventory Control or similar clerical role in a Distribution Center setting.
  • Computer literacy including MS Office, inventory databases, and Windows-based applications.
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience resolving routine and complex inventory issues.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with limited supervision.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to support other departments.
  • Ability to operate and become certified on Powered Industrial Trucks (e.g., Pallet Jack, Stock Picker).

    • Should Have :

  • HACCP experience preferred.

    • Work Environment :

  • Ability to work in environments between 0°F and 34°F.
