Cyber Systems Security Engineer
You will be a Cyber Systems Security Engineer in the Program Protection Organization. Our organization oversees all aspects of Anti-Tamper and embedded Cybersecurity across Missiles and Fire Control. We are chartered with providing the skills and innovative technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain secure products across our Lines of Business. As the Cyber Systems Security Engineer you will be responsible for providing embedded System Security Engineering design and implementation in all aspects of System Security Engineering (SSE) process in development of Department of Defense (DoD) Weapon Systems. Your responsibilities will include :
- Assessing and mitigating System Security threats / risks throughout the embedded Weapon System development life cycle
- Validating System Security Engineering requirements decomposition, allocation and analysis for embedded Weapon Systems
- Implementing System Security Engineering solutions hardware and software
- Verifying implementation of system security requirements
- Designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining state of the art System Security architectures and countermeasures to protect and enable innovative new Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control products
- Analyzing weaknesses, vulnerabilities and threats against System Security posture on product designs
- Prototyping and testing System Security countermeasures that defend against cyber-attacks against Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Weapon System products
Basic Qualifications :
Must be able to obtain an Interim DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to beginning employment, and then obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance while employed to be considered for this positionExperience working within the DoD systems development life-cycle (SDLC)Implementing System Security requirements on DoD systems to meet U.S. government compliance requirementsExperience supporting validation and verification of security requirements on DoD systemsPossess an approved DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT / IAM Level II (CISSP, CAP, etc.) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date in order to meet program requirementsDesired Skills :
Experience developing embedded DoD National Security Systems (NSS) requiring Systems Security Engineering implementations is preferredDesign experience through the DoD systems development life-cycle (SDLC) developing embedded system security solutions for DoD weapon or tactical systemsTactical as well as strategic thinking and creative problem solvingExperience with embedded systems designExcellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectivelyExperience with embedded system vulnerability scanning and Software Assurance (SwA) activitiesStrong understanding of System Security Engineering (SSE) principles and process. (NIST SP 800-161)Experience in the identification, decomposition, allocation and verification of NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls on DoD systemsExperience in supporting Security Verification testing on developed DoD Weapon SystemsSecurity Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
