Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients and answer telephones
- Verify insurance and schedule appointments
- Confirm patient appointments
- Check-in and check-out patients
- Collect patient charges
- Pre-authorize insurance for patient referrals
- Check inbox for incoming specialist reports, refills, and lab reports flag to appropriate parties
- Manage referrals to specialists and obtain medications
- Complete insurance companies annual reports
- Understand and maintain HIPAA regulations
- Support office with administrative and routine tasks
Skills and Qualifications
REQUIREMENT : Fluent in both English AND VietnameseInterpersonal, time management, and organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsFlexibility and attention to detail, efficient problem solverKnowledge of medical language and health insurance plansHigh school diploma or GED required. MA either by education or experience preferred.Experience with MS Office softwareKnowledge of medical billing is a PLUSFull time, part time, $18-29 / hour.
