(REMOTE) VP of Tax Compliance Opportunity – Scottsdale, AZ

Our client is a cutting‑edge AI‑powered fintech firm that is seeking a VP of Tax Compliance to lead and scale its tax operations. This firm is revolutionizing bookkeeping and tax for small businesses. With 80+ employees and a rapidly expanding client base, they combine automation, intelligence, and human expertise to deliver seamless financial solutions.

While the firm is headquartered in Scottsdale, this is a 100% Remote Opportunity with the plan for this individual to visit the team once a quarter in Arizona.

  • Bonus 10% to 15%

Base pay range

$200,000.00 / yr - $250,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a growing tax team (currently 10+), including preparers, reviewers, and onboarding / admin staff
  • Collaborate with the VP of Tax Strategy to balance technical execution with strategic planning
  • Report directly to the CEO and work cross‑functionally with leadership, including Sales and Founders

    • Ideal Candidate

  • 5-10+ years of people management experience
  • Proven success building or scaling tax teams
  • Deep understanding of tax compliance for complex returns
