Department Overview
The Seeds Department establishes business development strategy, aligned with major market drivers, company mission, core competencies and capabilities of the organization. Is responsible for the establishment of sales for products and assets acquired and / or developed. which include aligning a set of partners within the food supply chain and / or leveraging existing business units to develop and sell traits, ingredients and seed to identified supply chain partners.
Position Summary
The Field Sales Representative will proactively serve as the primary account manager and trusted advisor to our Confluence Genetics customers. You will be responsible for the management of distribution and licensing partners as well as growers. In this role, you will also be required to recruit prospects and develop long-term relationships to grow our proprietary business. You will leverage all our digital insights to lead the development of a touchpoint strategy appropriate to meet customer needs. You will collaborate with internal teams that also influence the customer experience with Confluence Genetics. You will own these relationships and have major impact on the growth of the organization. This position will be located in Central Missouri .
You Will :
Manage and grow current seed dealer businesses in order to increase footprints and gain market share in strategic geographies.Manage and grow current licensee businesses and portfolios.Execute direct sales to strategic targeted farmers.Recruit and sign prospects for new sales, licensing and end-user opportunities.Negotiate and contract with US Farmers for production of Confluence Genetics’ yearly crops, coordinating and communicating with internal and external acreage contracting partners.Develop, strengthen, and expand long-term relationships within the ag community that result in growing the overall Confluence Genetics business.Educate and coach contract farmers in IP process to capture maximum value from their contracts with us or with partnering grain merchandisers.Coordinate with Confluence Genetics Seeds teams regarding customer variety selection, seed sale, licensing, movement, etc.Manage all day-to-day telephone calls, emails, etc., both internal and externalRepresent Confluence Genetics and present at customer-focused trade shows, field days, plot demonstration events, etc.Handle crop and farm related issues within company policy and goals and with minimal supervision.You Have :

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, Agronomy, Crops & Soil Sciences or other related Ag field.Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience with farmer contracting and / or sales account management.Software / Skillset
Experience in working with cross-functional teams across different cultures and geographiesExcellent presentation and communication skillsOther
