Field Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to oversee the delivery of electrical and instrumentation systems from the design phase through to specification, procurement, installation, and the final handover to CQV. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are executed efficiently and meet all required safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include developing and managing schedules, execution strategies, and resource planning for the Electrical & Instrumentation package. Coordination with design teams, vendors, construction teams, QA, and end users is essential to ensure alignment and timely execution of project tasks. FAT / SAT readiness and adherence to GMP, safety, and quality standards are also key responsibilities. The subject matter expert will act as the primary point of contact for all process-related queries within the Electrical & Instrumentation scope.

Essential skills include expertise in construction, electrical, and project engineering. Experience in project coordination and capital projects is required. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of industry-specific experience. Proficiency in delta-v, construction management, project management, mechanical and electrical engineering, low and high voltage systems, and automation systems is necessary. Knowledge in design and GMP environments is also required.

Additional skills and qualifications include a postgraduate qualification in project management or a related field, experience in the design and installation of electrical and instrumentation systems, proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget for capital projects, familiarity with commissioning processes and automation systems, and strong communication, coordination, and troubleshooting skills.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
