Job Description :

The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for a variety of functions, including analytics, projections, budgeting, and business modeling. The Financial Analyst will perform analysis of a wide selection of data supporting all segments of the Business. The ideal candidate will help create and oversee both financial and operational initiatives, lead projects aimed at developing concise and efficient reporting and analysis, provide / support training to users at all levels, collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and analyze key performance metrics that will drive business performance goals. To accomplish this, the Financial Analyst will work with key stakeholders, end users and department owners to ensure processes and tools are appropriately used and consistently applied, assist in identifying potential efficiency gaps, defining areas for improvement, implement best practices, foster and drive industry standards, and work with leaders to continuously find ways to optimize. In addition, the Senior Finance Manager will supervise the Financial Analyst.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Financial Analyst role and relevant experience in financial analysis, KPIs, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Hands on experience with business intelligence and financial planning tools and systems (i.e. Qlik Sense, Hyperion, Cognos, SQL, Planful, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel – developing graphs, charts and presentations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide relevant and insightful analysis of financial data and performance measures, trend analysis and forecasts, and the monitoring of key financial metrics. Prepare reports for senior management, including recurring reports and ad-hoc reports.
  • Using best practices, develop tools and analytics to perform various types of financial analysis.
  • Assist in the completion of the weekly Board Call package – sales pacing, flash reporting, flux analysis.
  • Assist in the month end close process – review month-end financial results against targets, research and provide explanations for variances. Perform other analysis and schedules to facilitate the completion of the month-end Board Package.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the business intelligence tool and financial planning system. Partner with Sales to implement and facilitate ongoing effective use of the Sales CRM tool.
  • Drive, analyze and complete quarterly forecasts and annual budget processes accurately and timely through effective communication and information gathering with key stakeholders.
  • Work with key sales and operations leaders to develop and implement various productivity analysis that will create value and drive performance. Continuously monitor and identify trends and gaps to performance throughout the month. Assist in enabling strong cross-functional communications and enhanced efficiencies across companies.
  • Develop any new analysis and reporting, or modify existing analysis and reporting, based upon the changes or new information available.
  • Manages and directs the activities of the Financial Analyst to ensure all work is completed accurately and within stipulated deadlines, take initiative to lead, train and develop skillset.
  • Submits management required forms, reports and requests consistently, accurately and on time.
  • Provide support for other Accounting / Finance department initiatives and core functions.
  • Assist in the weekly Cash Flow projections.
  • Other ad-hoc projects, as required.

  • This position must occasionally lift and / or move up to 20 pounds.
