We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in Diamond Bar, California. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that offers a great opportunity to grow your career in accounting while contributing to essential business functions. The ideal candidate will assist with collections, credit validation, and documentation processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities :
- Contact customers with overdue accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve any issues affecting balances.
- Investigate reasons for delinquent accounts and collaborate with customers to address discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed records of all collections activities, including account statuses and payment histories.
- Review customer accounts and aging reports to determine credit approval for order releases.
- Verify payment terms or credit conditions before releasing orders using relevant systems.
- Pre-authorize shipments from the Canadian warehouse by managing Excel worksheets.
- Conduct credit checks using Dun & Bradstreet to evaluate customer credit status.
- Update and manage customer credit profiles, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
- Run reports and document actions using internal systems to support credit and collections processes.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain a clean, organized workspace while performing additional tasks as assigned.
- Experience with accounts payable (AP) processes and systems.
- Proficiency in accounts receivable (AR) and collections operations.
- Ability to reconcile bank accounts and general ledger entries accurately.
- Familiarity with credit approval processes and credit validation tools.
- Strong knowledge of accounting entries and procedures.
- Skilled in managing and documenting credit profiles and related correspondence.
- Competence in using tools such as Excel for reporting and pre-authorization tasks.
