Cashier / Payment Poster
The Cashier / Payment Poster is responsible for the manual posting of insurance and personal payments to medical claims. Reconcile posting batches to the bank deposits daily; processing insurance virtual credit card payments; image scanning explanation of benefits; researching and resolving unpostables; retrieving explanation of benefits from insurance websites to post to patient claims; and other duties as directed by the Business Office Manager.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Education : High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum Work Experience : 1-2 year's experience of medical payment posting
- Required Licenses / Certifications
- Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities
Knowledge of medical practices; terminology; and reimbursement policies
