We're hiring a seasoned SQL expert to join our engineering team and lead data performance across critical backend systems. This is a senior-level, remote role focused on scalable SQL architecture, query optimization, and platform reliability using AWS Aurora (MySQL) and Redshift .

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize OLTP / OLAP schemas and SQL pipelines for performance and scale
  • Tune complex queries using EXPLAIN, Performance Schema, and diagnostics tools
  • Integrate SQL logic into backend services and distributed systems (ETL, APIs)
  • Lead standards around data architecture, migration / versioning, and lifecycle management

Requirements

  • 9+ years of hands-on SQL engineering experience in high-volume environments
  • Expert-level knowledge of Aurora, Redshift, and SQL performance tuning
  • Strong communication skills across technical and business stakeholders
  • U.S.-based; no visa sponsorship available

    • Additional Details

    The base salary range for this position is $130K - $145K annually, depending on experience.

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
