About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong Power BI expertise to support analytics and reporting work for our TenCare (Tennessee Medicaid) contract. This role will evolve as new workstreams flow in, and it offers the opportunity to directly influence reporting, data insights, and decision-making for a large Medicaid population.
You will work closely with our Manager of Population Health Management Analytics and a Strategic Data Consultant to develop dashboards, analyze claims / utilization data, and translate complex data findings into meaningful insights for stakeholders and the TenCare client.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, run, and analyze Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Build and validate dashboards focused on utilization rates, PMPM (per member per month), and Medicaid program metrics
- Conduct ongoing data analysis to support TenCare initiatives and operational needs.
- Respond to ad hoc data requests from internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Interpret complex datasets and present findings in clear, understandable formats for non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure data solutions meet program needs.
Required Qualifications
Power BI proficiency is mandatory — must have experience creating, interpreting, and analyzing Power BI reports and dashboards.Education / Experience :Bachelor's degree + 5+ years of data analysis experienceORMaster's degree + 3+ years of data analysis experienceMust reside in Davidson County, TN or a bordering countyPreferred Qualifications
Experience in the payer / health plan / Medicaid or population health space.Knowledge of claims data , utilization rates, or government healthcare programs.Familiarity with SQL (training available if needed).About the Team
