College Guidance Counselor

Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community High School seeks a part-time or full-time college counselor beginning January 5 2026. The College Guidance Department works diligently to prepare all high school students for their future beyond graduation by working in partnership with parents teachers administrators and college admissions representatives. OurCollege Counselors provide guidance support and information through individual grade-wide and evening programs starting in Grade 9 with a special emphasis placed on working with seniors in the fall and juniors in the spring.

Candidates for this 10-month position will possess :

• A bachelors degree (masters degree preferred)
• Experience working with high school students and their families
• Current knowledge of the college application standardized testing and financial aid process and timeline
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Strong time managements skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Outstanding public speaking skills and a high comfort level leading professional presentations for groups of students parents and teachers
• Availability during the 2

nd

and 3

rd

weeks of August to staff our College Application Boot Camp Program as well as select evenings throughout the year to assist with our College Counseling Programs

Experience in college admissions or college counseling and familiarity with college guidance platforms such as Naviance is desirable.
