Position Overview
The Curative Specialist plays a critical role within the company's centralized call center, responding to all inquiries routed through the corporate 1-800 line. This role is similar to an Escrow Assistant, but is specifically focused on curing title-related issues.
The Curative Specialist researches, analyzes, and resolves title defects, inconsistencies, and missing documentation to ensure clear title and smooth closing processes for partner agencies. This is a highly detail-oriented position that requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and expertise in title operations.
Resware experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
Review title commitments and supporting documents to identify defects, discrepancies, or missing informationConduct research to clear issues such as liens, legal description errors, ownership questions, judgments, encumbrances, or unresolved vestingCommunicate with title agents, underwriters, county offices, and internal teams to obtain required documentation or clarificationCoordinate curative actions, ensuring all steps are completed within internal SLAs and regulatory guidelinesUpdate and track all actions within Resware systemMaintain detailed notes, documentation, and progress updates for all files in processSupport escrow, underwriting, and closing teams with curative insight and problem-resolutionProvide exceptional customer service when handling inbound calls or inquiries from the 1-800 lineCollaborate with internal departments to meet production timelines and quality standardsEnsure compliance with state-by-state title and insurance regulationsRequired Qualifications
Resware experience required (non-negotiable)3+ years of experience in title, escrow, curative, or related real estate closing support roleStrong understanding of title commitments, requirements, and curative processesExceptional attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication skills and ability to interact with agents, underwriters, and stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple files and priorities in a fast-paced environmentProblem-solving mindset with a customer-first approachExperience working within a call center environment is a plusPreferred Experience
