Safety Officer Opportunity
Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Safety Officer to immediately start a project in Riviera Beach, FL.
Pay : $35 - $40 per hour- Based on Experience
Hours : 50+ Hours per week
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 am-3 : 30 pm (overtime available)
Duration : Temporary to Permanent
Start Date : ASAP
Responsibilities For Construction Safety Officer :
- Implement EM 385-1-1 requirements
- Involved in all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation
- Ability to plan for and assign resources as applicable for projects
- Supervise safety of all onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Management / Enforcement of Ahtna's Safety Program and Security Policies
- Conduct regular safety meetings with trade subcontractors
- Conduct safety orientation for all new employees on site
- Required to ensure all personnel onsite are equipped with proper PPE
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, etc.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to approved plans and specifications
Requirements For Construction Safety Officer :
Active experience in RMSPast 3 consecutive years as the SSHO on a USACE project.Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience on U.S. Army Corps projects (working on a federal US government, military base)Must have current OSHA 30-Hour cardMust be familiar with requirements of the EM 385 1-1, 2014 version40HR EM385 Certification preferredKnowledge and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, requires applicants to be of able body to assist in performing certain portions of the work and to manage and schedule subcontractorsThorough knowledge and understanding of construction means and methodsStrong leadership qualitiesDeadline and detail-orientedAdditional Requirements :
